New Varlion padel racket of professional level totally revolutionary and innovative, which has been developed and manufactured under a new shape and different technology. BOURNE padel racket was launched for the first time in 2018, as a result of merging the CAÑON racket, a diamond shape created in 2001, and AVANT racket, a teardrop shape created in 2009. We achieve a racket that is focused on players who need a further touch more of power than control. The BOURNE form is also a registered trademark of Varlion in the European Union with number 17032988. In this racket you will also find the new PRISMA frame (patented in Spanish Patent and Trademark Office with number 202030114). Thanks to the fact that the frame is shaped like a prism, we managed to reduce by 90% the contact point of the frame against walls and surfaces. In addition, air resistance has been reduced by 10% compared to our Hexagon frame or the other conventional frames, according to the study carried out in a wind tunnel. These changes translate into a better maneuverability of the racket and greater acceleration capacity in all shots. On the other hand, in order to make the new Prisma frame resistant with its very particular design, we had to reinforce its construction in the most fragile point (the head) through a new adhesive injected bumper, called PRISMA bumper, with an exclusive design that perfectly matches the prism shape. This new bumper not only covers the outermost point of the frame, but also the edge and its union with the racket surface. Its design has been taken care of down to the smallest detail so that the weight is as low as possible (7 grs) and it also serves as an anti-vibrator thanks to the fact that it is completely adhered to the frame through a 3M tape. As if that were not enough, this new racket includes a new surface texture in the plane, called SLICE, which has been designed and developed with a series of curved lines that hook the ball surface, considerably increasing the effect that other rackets achieve in each shot. This new rough texture is patented in Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. As its name suggests, the new Bourne Summum Prisma racket includes SUMMUM technology in its construction, which is based on a combination of several factors: • Its handle is longer than the usual ones, to provide the player with a more comfortable and professional grip, thus avoiding having to put the overgrip over it, and also to facilitate grip for players who use both hands. • 1 cm longer hitting surface. • A gradual perforation pattern with more holes (76 in total), to improve and expand the sweet spot of the racket. • And Wings Diffuser technology in the heart, with an aerodynamically improved diffuser which provides more handling and precision to the racket.
